Bethesda, Maryland is DC’s neighbor, 2 doors down. Point yourself north on Wisconsin Avenue in DC, and just keep going. Cross over the DC/MD line will put you first into Chevy Chase, Maryland, and 5 minutes north of that (still on Wisconsin Ave) will put you into the epicenter of Downtown Bethesda. An extension of the DC conveniences, but uniquely Bethesda in that the energy dialed down a few notches, and the vibe is chilled. Shopping, cafés, dining, and specialty shops, in an open market “Streetery” (street dining & sitting). Beyond this, beautiful Bethesda homes really fit the bill of suburban living, close to the city.
