The Wharf

The Character:
For a long time, many of us not from the neighborhood, only went to the Southwest Waterfront for the fish at the Wharf, or the old Phillips restaurant way back in the day. Aside from that…tumbleweed. It was dead there. Now the entire waterfront has been completely transformed. It’s actually quite memorizing what’s been done there. Not to be outdone by the National Harbor, the New Southwest Waterfront is something of a case study for neighborhood development. Audacious, amenity-rich luxury condominiums in a commercial envelope of vibrant retail, dining, theatre, entertainment & fun, with breathtaking views of the Potomac River and the national monuments. All this, neighbor to the Nationals Park Baseball Stadium and an extended southwest development of additional fun. Oh, and you can still get your fish from the Wharf.
